Sandie Campanella has extensive training experience across a broad spectrum of audiences, including law enforcement, prosecutors, social services, probation, victim advocacy groups, school officials, community groups and other professionals (property management teams, hairdressers, youth organizations, etc).
She focuses on teaching domestic violence dynamics, victim response to offender tactics, stalking, strangulation, lethality risk assessment and trauma-informed communication skills she named “victim whispering.”

She frequently presents domestic violence topics as a member of the multidisciplinary training team with the Ending Violence Against Women project. She also presents guest lectures for academia at CU, CSU, DU, Front Range Community College and the US Air Force Academy. Sandie also has experience creating Domestic Violence Units. She co-founded the Longmont PD Domestic Abuse Review Committee (DARC) and the Domestic Violence Acute Response Team (DVART) at the Boulder District Attorney’s Office, 20th Judicial District and can assist law enforcement agencies with creating their own high-risk DV teams. Sandie frequently instructs police recruits on DV at the Front Range Community College Law Enforcement Academy in Fort Collins.
